What I think is particularly important to our work is the continued invisibility of violence against women of color, both historical and current. Additionally, while the Cold Case project has created a more public discussion of lynchings and other violence perpetrated against black men during that era, the same is not happening for Recy Taylor who still lives with the pain of her experience.
